*gasp* I am still alive everyone! ^.^
I just wanted to post a quick update to any who followed my blog to let you know what has been going on and why there hasn’t been a post in what feels like forever. Firstly, thank you for keeping track and reading this, and secondly I apologize massively for the lack of updates.
I created this blog with the intention to do this as a hobby only and said right from the start that if I wanted to take a break from it I hoped I would be able to easily, as with mmo’s there always is periods of slowness within the game where you don’t feel motivated, and work was stealing any motivation or energy for anything at all for a long time and the abandonment of the blog was quite sudden.
I have been playing the game a lot since my last update, and after levelling my Guardian to 75 I started on my Lore-Master and finally got another 75 to add into the mix, but apart from deeding, preparing for Rohan and raiding, I haven’t found much time for outfitting. I have been playing and loving the Rohan beta’s and very much hope come launch I will be back in the game with new cosmetics to play with, but until then thank you for the patience if you’re still visiting this blog.
This update was spurred on by the fact my kin was running a Nostalgia week and I won the BG Lore-Master shoulder guards I had wanted for years and decided to parade them about while giving an update as to my whereabouts; which I have been meaning to get done a lot earlier than this.
Happy hunting everyone! <3 See you in Rohan!

After finally completing all quests in The Great River region I got my hands on this fabulous and unique chain robe. I have been wearing it without a helm or gloves the past couple of nights raiding atop Orthanc wondering what was missing. As Saruman finally surrendered to my kin for the first time (insert applause here) I was very motivated to create something out of this robe, and obtained the Malledhrim crafted heavy set; which I have been after for a very long time but stupidly enough never just asked for someone to craft it for me until tonight.
I never realised just how wonderful the pieces are in this set, I have been staring at the helm for about 10 minutes now because it’s just sooo so beautiful and compliments the robe perfectly with the chainmail at the back. Gloves were the only issue I came across but I expected this as I read about it from Hymne over at CosmeticLotro, there are bad clipping issues with nearly all gloves and this robe so I went very basic, and dyed them gold in an attempt to help the gold that is on the helm.
I have been tasked with creating an outfit for my kin to all wear also, and I’ve made some good progress so I will most likely be adding my ideas and designs onto this blog sometime in the coming weeks.
For now, happy hunting as always.

Welcome to the new Lotro Savvy! I finally had a play around with the layouts and decided to give this one a try and I’m pretty happy with it. Categories have been redone and I went through every post and made sure they were up to date with their categories. When I can be bothered to play around on Paintshop Pro or Photoshop I’ll get around to making a better site header also, but for now, onto the outfits!
I’ve levelled a Lore-Master to 30 THREE times now because I always remade her, unsure whether I liked her as an elf or a human or my levelling companion vanished leaving my squishy character to suffer, but finally I’m back levelling with someone again and can safely stay at a distance while I enjoy the unique playing style of my Lore-Master, and i’m having an absolute blast. I wanted to find an outfit for my Lore-Master that included a wizards hat, but something that didn’t look too ridiculous (and we all know how ridiculous Lotro hats are sometimes), so the search was on. I came across this Pointed Hat of Fate in my Minstrels Vault the other day and I’m aware there are a lot of ‘of fate’ world drops and I’m assuming this is also one of them, however if you do know exactly where this comes from please let me know and I shall edit it, as I may have picked it up questing and not remembered. I believe the same cosmetics can be acquired via Padded level 15/17 amour from a Tailor or 20/23 according to Darzil’s Lotro Crafting Guide.
I really love this robe and don’t think a cloak suits it all too well and didn’t want anything covering it up, but if you want a cloak then I might suggest the simple plain hoodless cloak in black from the Bree Outfitter, or a backpack of some sort might look pretty awesome too. Based on the fact I didn’t want armour covering up the robe too much and its wonderful detail I chose gloves and shoulder guards that are only a small difference and aren’t even needed too much.
Head: Pointed Hat of Fate [World Drop] ~Black~
Shoulders: Embroidered Mantle of the Dunland Healer [Quest Reward – Dunland] ~Grey~
Chest: Tattered Robe of the Dunland Sage [Quest Reward – Dunland] ~Ranger Green~
Hands: Gloves of Fleetness [Quest Reward – Dunland] ~Black~
Feet: Scout’s Weathered Leather Boots [Quest Reward – Dunland] ~Grey~
Notes: I received a request to make a Gandalf-esque outfit which will be a fun challenge for me to do soon!

When I first saw the bottom/skirt to this outfit, I knew right away what to create and I absolutely adore it, one of my favourites after over a year of putting together cosmetic outfits for fun, and it suited my Rune-Keeper perfectly and she fit in well with the local folk while on her quests in Enedwaith and Dunland. All pieces are listed below.
Note: The feet cosmetic really doesn’t matter, which is why I didn’t try very hard to get the feet in the picture. It can be anything since the skirt covers up most of it anyway and boots clip out of the skirt so try to go for something smaller. The Helm can also be anyone from the hunter sets as some require different combinations of tokens, just make sure you can dye it as I couldn’t at one point and only t2 could be dyed, think they updated it though since – don’t quote me on that, but I was suddenly able to dye mine again recently.
Helm: Lesser Arrow of the West Helmet [Hunter Enedwaith token/barter-Medallion of the North-Men] ~Crimson~
Shoulder: Westfold Assault Shoulder Pads [Crafted t7-light] ~Crimson~
Chest: Clanweave Robe [Dunland quest reward] ~Crimson~
Hands: Angolgam [Quest reward, Vol.III, Book 4, Ch 5] ~Default/Washed~
Legs: Starkmoor Caretaker’s Leggings [Dunland quest reward] ~Crimson~
Feet: Angoldal [Quest reward, Vol. III, Book 4] ~Umber~
Hope you like this one as much as me,
